Leafleting!

So I've been getting stuff in the mail like crazy. I have a ton of Animal Rights stuff. (Leaflets, stickers, petitions, etc.)
So here's some of my ways to getting these out and about. :)

Leafleting:  Yes this is the practical thing to do, but i love doing it :D Also, when I'm leafleting I always have a clip board with petitions. :)

Bathrooms: Whenever i'm out and about and I use a public washroom somewhere, I always leave leaflets. Whether I leave them on the bathroom counter, or tape them inside of the stalls (I carry tape in my purse -- weird I know. I does come in handy a lot though. )

Waiting rooms: I always leave leaflets there, whether it's on the magazine tables, or in actual magazines. :)

Resturaunts: I've only done this once, but I stuck a leaflet inside of my menu. LOL

Airplanes: You can leave them in those magazines that are always on the seat in front of you. :)

Food Courts: If I'm ever in a food court, I leave them on empty tables, and at the table I was sitting at.

Cars: I've never done this, but leaving them on the wind shields of cars would be great. You just have to make sure you're not breaking any laws :)

Doors: Again, this is one that I've never done, but I think it's a great idea. You could either drop leaflets in peoples mail boxes/go door to door handing them to people/Some how creating one of those door knob things out of them ( http://sheilas-place3.bravehost.com/templates/doorknob-hanger-w-pocket_or-box_sheilab.jpg )

Soo that's all I can think of at the moment. If anyone else has any suggestions, feel free to comment :D

Ladadada

Sooo, I haven't posted for awhile, which I apologize for. I've been busy ^.^
The weather here is awful! I mean seriously? Rain? At the end of JULY!? This is absurd!
Anyways, I have been suck at home with nothing to do, thanks to this wonderful weather, So I've been . . . Creating.
I've been making Animal rights related paintings and such. So i'll post those up here when I'm done. :)

Alsooo,
I've been searching up Veganism like crazy, and have decided that I want to make the switch to Vegan.
I'm like, %80 of the way there, but I'm ready. So Monday will be my first day of being a Vegan. (Nothing like starting the month of with a new diet && lifestyle :D )
So I'll still have some animal tested products and such.. But I'd rather use them, than let them go to waste..

I'm pretty excited to be Vegan. I made a two week meal plan, so It will be easier for my first couple of weeks :)
I just need to go shopping, Oh and tell my mom I'm going Vegan. I don't think she'll mind. She might be worried about my health, but I'll tell her the facts and It should be good.
I'm glad my Vegan starter kit came in, It's packed full of information on health and such, I'll show her that ... I think.

Well, since I'm just rambling on, I guess I should stop. :D

Oh, and another thing. After I'm Vegan for awhile, I'm going to be putting a Recipe section on the blog. So check for that. :)

Maail

So a couple weeks ago, this came in the mail for me:

There is Peta and Peta2 Stickers, A Why Vegan? Booklet from Vegan Outreach, A bunch of info sheets from AFA (Action For Animals) And a Peta2 cruelty free shopping guide.
I'm a little confused as to why the peta things were in with the Vegan Outreach and AFA, (Except for the dark blue sticker sheet, that was on it's own.) but ohwell, I got them. :D
As you can see, I already have some stickers on my laptop (: I plan to add more too!
I have also stickered my white board and mirror.
The Why Vegan? Booklet was very intresting and informative. As were the 9 information sheets.

Yeah, so I just thought i'd share this with you.. since I finally got around to taking a picture, haha.
I have also ordered Petas Vegetarian/Vegan starter guide, and a few others, and i'll be sure to let you know how I like them. :D
Also, I am a part of Peta2's Street Team, and I recently ordered some ST goodies, (Black 'free for all' V-neck, College cookbook, Peta lip balms, the buttons, and the big pack of 5 stickers)
This is my first time getting goods from the street team, I've been saving for awhile, so I'll let you know how they are, and how well/fast they got here.

Gardein !

So I just made this..

Gardein's  mandarin orange crispy chick'n,

It was surprisingly really good. I wasn't to sure about it but I figured I'd try it.
It tastes like chicken to me, just without the cruelty.
I just ate it as it is, I was to lazy to make a stir-fry or something.. lol
Annd it tasted like something you'd get from a Chinese place, ya know when you just order a single dish? yeah like that.. Oh, it would be really good with chow mein.. idk if chowmein noodles are Vegan, i'll have to check that out.. I would think that they are.. idk thoe. lol

Yeah, so it was good.. especially with me and my lack of tofu skills . (Everytime I make tofu, it doesn't taste very good, like not slimy or anythinng just, not good. idk, I'll have to work on that, :D ) So it was good to have something that tastes this good (:

Anyways, I will enjoy the left overs from this for lunch tommorow, I think i'll turn it into a stir-fry, it would be so good over rice, (:

Lol, I'm just going on and on, So check out this if you haven't tried it yet. I will def be checking out some of their other products they have. :D
I have actually tried their veggie burgers, which are really good except for the fact that they aren't Vegan.. sucky because they are prolly the best veggie burger i've had, lol.

Meet Your Meat: Video

This Video, is really sad aswell. It gives your a better look at what really happens in factory farms.
I hope you guys check it out.
It's called Meet your Meat

Check out Peta2.com for more Videos.

Free Me: Video

This is so sad! When I first went on Peta2, this video was on one of their pages. I watched it, I cried. It's what helped me decide to go Veg.

It's called Free Me.

Even though it's sad, I think you should watch it if you haven't already. <3

Almond Milk

This is my absolute FAVORITE <3

Silk's Dark Chocolate almond milk.

This is Jesus!!
It's like a chocolate bar in a bottle.

Love chocolate? Have cravings?
Go pick yourself up some Jesus draank. lol (=

RiceWorks

These chips are the absolute BEST.
They come in six flaavors:
Tangy BBQ
Parmesan
Sea Salt
Sweet Chili
Salsa Fresca
annnd
Toasted Cinnamon

Thee only one I haven't tried is thee Parmesan one. I don't think I would like it, hence why I haven't tried it. (It's a personal choice, i'm sure it's good.)
My favorites are Sweet Chili, and Toasted Cinnamon.

Toasted Cinnamon Rice works + Silk's Dark Chocolate Almond milk = HEAVEN!

If you haven't already tried these, I recommend you should. They aren't to pricey, on sale my mother gets them for $2.00, i think. But try them! I guarantee they will be good.

Hair Salon!

Have any of you vegans went to get you're hair cut, and had to worry about bringing your own Cruelty-free products for them to use?
Luckily for me, I have an AMAZING Salon in my town. It's Called Studio 3.

They are sponsered by Aveda, which doesn't test on animals. They do have a couple products with bee pollen and i think honey in them.(It may just be their chapstick) I always check to make sure before the hair dresser uses them.
It's nice getting your hair cut, knowing it's cruelty-free. (:

Try checking if there are any Aveda salons in your area! (Oh, and I live In British Columbia, Canada)
